Job Title: System Manager, Quality & Risk Management 

Job Summary:

Under the direction and oversight of the System Director of Quality and Risk Management (SDQRM), this position is primarily responsible for leading and facilitating the planning, implementation, analysis and evaluation of quality improvement projects and value streams to support the strategic and operational needs of Avanti Hospitals by utilizing appropriate methodologies.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for operational improvement through observation, data analysis, or other means, and assisting multidisciplinary system-wide teams through the appropriate methodologies to achieve improvements
  • Leads, designs, manages, and executes performance improvement initiatives through all phases of the improvement cycle
  • Creates and updates project plans, action items, and meeting minutes
  • Utilizes expertise in improvement methodologies to appropriately identify the correct design and approach for initiatives
  • Facilitates data collection, analysis, and assessment through both physical observations and system reporting
  • Coordinates activities of performance improvement team members, supporting initiatives documents and presents findings to all levels of staff and leadership
  • Performs independent complex data analysis to support leadership decision making. Types of data analysis include but are not limited to process measures and performance metrics, quality measures, patient satisfaction measures, and demographic analysis
  • Collaborates with individuals at all levels of Avanti system on executing plans to improve key performance metrics in categories including, but not limited to patient safety, quality & regulatory, throughput, cycle time, financial stewardship, patient experience, risk management, and employee engagement
  • Maintains current knowledge of health care delivery trends and evidence-based solutions for improving the delivery of care and services
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements



Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, organizational management, or related field
  • Quality or Lean certification, preferred or obtained within twelve months of hire
  • 3+ years of direct patient care or performance improvement experience in quality and process improvement, preferred.
