Job Description and Job Responsibilites

Job Title:  Radiologic / CT / MRI Technologist

Job Summary: 

RT III must perform 3 modalities.  They must meet RT1 and RT2 Criteria.  The Technologist must perform all examinations at a technical level sufficient to provide adequate diagnosis with limited supervision and in accordance with established procedures and protocols.  Work closely with the Radiologist to insure adequate imaging examination to meet department and ACR standards.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Must know and demonstrate competent, safe and effective operation of the X-Ray / CT and MRI Unit and the injectors.

  • Must know and demonstrate basic understanding and applications of exam procedures and preparations.

  • Must know and demonstrate the ability to manipulate the images following the established protocols.

  • Must know and demonstrate the ability to recognize adverse reactions and the process for reporting incidents.

  • Must know and demonstrate the ability to respond to the patients and perform all required X-Ray / CT and MRI Tests to comply with the ACR standards.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate and Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent.  

  • 5 years experience as a X-Ray / CT or MRI Technologist

Licensure/Certifications:

  • CPR certificate

  • Current ARRT Certificate, in good standing, preferred

  • ARRT-CT, Advanced Certification for CT Technologists or MRI Certification or equivalent

  • CRT, Certified Radiologic Technologist
