Job Description and Job Responsibilites

Job Title:  Manager of Infection Prevention and Employee Health

Job Summary:

An individual trained in hospital epidemiology and occupational health principles and is responsible for the surveillance, analysis, and reporting of data required by regulatory agencies; educating employees about work safety and infection prevention; and the development of policies and procedures to ensure rigorous employee health and infection prevention & control standards that meet the requirements of The Joint Commission, OSHA, Public Health Department, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other regulatory agencies.  The Manager of Infection Prevention & Control and Employee Health Services reports to the Director of Performance Improvement.

 




Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the role in an acute care hospital

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current RN license in good standing by the California State Board of Nursing preferred
  • Current Certification on Infection Control and Epidemiology preferred
  • Masters Degree in Public Health or equivalent with Certification in Infection Control will be considered in lieu of Registered Nursing License.
  •  Current BLS for Health Care Provider card
