Job Description and Job Responsibilites

Job Title: Lead Radiologic Technologist

Job Summary: 

Performs Radiological Procedures at a technical level sufficient to provide adequate diagnosis.  Assists physician in performing Radiological Procedures on patient’s ranging in age from pediatric to geriatric.  The Lead Radiologic Technologist acts as the liaison between the Director and the Technologists.  The Lead RT is responsible for troubleshooting issues and implement modifications to routines and processes in the department.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Establishes and maintains quality control procedures for the Imaging Services Department.

  • Assists Director in developing, implementing and enforcing department policies.

  • Assists Director in orientation and education of staff in the department. 

  • Assists Director in payroll of staff in the department.

  • Maintains work flow in the department.

  • Acts as a liaison for technologists and Director.

  • Develops staffing model and advises Director of changes needed for operation of the Department.

  • Participates in ALARA and assists with inventory control.

  • Assists with preparation for surveys from DHS and TJC as needed.

  • Assists with counseling and coaching employees and may act as the clinical coordinator for students.

  • Performs any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • High school graduate  

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program

  • Must possess 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist


  • CPR Certificate

  • Current ARRT Certificate, in good standing, preferred

  • CRT, Certified Radiologic Technologist
