Job Description and Job Responsibilites

Job Summary: 

This Radiology Technologist specialized in Computerized Technology.  CT Tech must perform CT Scans at a technical level sufficient to provide adequate diagnosis with limited supervision and in accordance with established procedures and protocols.  Work closely with the Radiologist to insure adequate imaging examination to meet department and ACR standards.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Must know and demonstrate competent, safe and effective operation of the CT Scanner and CT injector.
  • Must know and demonstrate basic understanding and applications of exam procedures and preparations.
  • Must know and demonstrate the ability and knowledge to perform 3D reconstructions.
  • Must know and demonstrate the ability to recognize adverse reactions and the process for reporting incidents.
  • Must know and demonstrate the ability to reduce patient dose and perform all required CT Tests to comply with the ACR CT standards.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • High school graduate
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
  • 2 years experience as a CT Technologist

Licensure/Certifications:

  • CPR certificate
  • ARRT, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • ARRT-CT, Advanced Certification for CT Technologists
  • CRT, Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • Must have advanced CT licensing by December 31, 2013
