Job Summary

Responsible for the safe, courteous movement of people and equipment within the hospital.

Job Duties

• Transports patients in a safe, courteous manner within the hospital in a timely manner.

• Transports materials in a safe, courteous manner within the hospital in a timely manner.

• Submits documentation to management on adherence to quality and performance standards.*

• Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly, removing unsafe equipment and notifying management.

• Ensures patient confidentiality.

• Cleans assigned equipment daily with approved germicidal solution according to departmental and infection control guidelines.

• Enters data into computer.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.

• One year experience in patient contact in a hospital and/or healthcare facility preferred.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Knowledge of personal computers
