Job Summary 

Quality Analysts are responsible for helping to improve the quality of work produced by the Patient Access Department and by providing tools and resources to staff members.  The Quality Analyst will report to the Market Director of Patient Access.  Who will establish key performance indicators, work items list, and or reports that will be used to measure the department’s performance?

Essential Job Duties

•         Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with staff, patients, guarantors, and insurance companies. 

•         Demonstrates attention to detail, accurate data input, spelling, reading, and mathematical skills required.

•         Strong computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Cerner & the ability to create presentations and reports.

•         Works with managers to provide feedback and training to staff on errors and other issues that affect reimbursement and/or organizational integrity.

•         Follows all Federal, State, and regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance. 

           Able to use IT systems in an accurate and proficient manner

Education/Experience/Required Skills:

•         High School Diploma: some college is preferred

•         Minimum of two years of customer service experience required.

•         2+ years of experience performing patient registration within a hospital setting preferred.

•         Knowledge of insurance company practices regarding reimbursement preferred.

•         Functional understanding of core systems for patient registrations, insurance verification and financial counseling.
