Job Summary:
Reports to the Plant Operations Manager and is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of the hospital hospital utility systems and their supporting equipment, preventive maintenance, work order and in-house project completion such as small repairs/remodels, patching and painting, and minor carpentry, tile, and drywall repairs.
Essential Job Duties:
- Achieves competent repairs and maintenance by performing preventive maintenance as well as corrective maintenance of the hospital physical plant, utility systems and all supporting equipment.
- Provides information and documents of work performed and completes written preventive maintenance forms and documents of work performed and completing written work requests in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates general working knowledge in the maintenance and repair of the facilities HVAC, and utilizes his ability and training to complete work order requests in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates general working knowledge in the maintenance and repair of the facilities plumbing, and utilizes his plumbing ability and training to complete work order requests in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates general working knowledge in the maintenance and repair of the electrical equipment and utilizes his electrical ability and training to complete work order requests in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates general working knowledge in the maintenance and repair of the facilities mechanical equipment by utilizing mechanical ability and training to complete work order requests in a timely manner.

Education/Experience:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- 2 years maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in hospital settings.
