Job Summary:

  • Demonstrates competency to repair and maintain hospital utility systems and their supporting equipment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • 2 years general maintenance mechanic experience, preferably in hospitals.
  • HVAC Experience Required

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
