Job Title: EVS Technician

Job Summary:

Performs under the supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, daily cleans patient care and non-patient care areas of the hospital.  High/Low Dusting, cleaning restrooms and fixtures, terminal cleaning of isolation rooms and non-isolation rooms after patient has been discharged.  Disinfecting beds and making of after patient has been discharged.  Assists Nursing in moving beds, pulling trash, mopping floors, cleaning of windows and blinds.  floor striping and waxing. Respond to all calls pertaining to their assigned areas, and Implements the 7 step cleaning procedures.

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Conducts a complete clean of patient and treatment rooms.

  • Cleaning of offices and Nursing Stations.

  • Cleaning of restrooms, tub rooms, utility rooms, nourishment rooms, showers and fixtures.

  • Mopping and vacuuming of assigned areas.

  • Terminal Cleaning and Isolation Rooms

  • Responds to all calls for their assigned areas.

  • Implements the 7 step cleaning procedures.

Job Requirements


  • High school graduate or job-related work experience equivalent.

  • Two (2) years hospital EVS experience preferred.
