The Employee Health/Infection Control Coordinator is a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse who coordinates the employee health program and maintains the integrity of our infection control standards. This position provides nursing assessment and treatment to all employees including coordinating physical exams, ordering of appropriate tests, evaluation and treatment as well as follow-up for both work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses. Consults on all new hires fitness for duty and provides injury, illness, and exposure education and training for new hires and current employees. Promotes health and safety for all employees in the workplace and collaborates with various departments to return the employee to work with optimal outcomes after an injury. Responsible for maintaining, revising and coordinating the multiple facets of the Infection Control Program which includes, but is not limited to, surveillance, analysis, reporting, as well as setting standards and evaluating compliance for practices that are associated with the prevention and control of healthcare infections.

Qualifications:

1. Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed to practice in the State of California with a minimum of one year of clinical experience.

2. Should be currently certified in CPR.

3. Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians and ancillary departments.

4. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Competency in the following computer skills preferred: Microsoft Word; PowerPoint; Outlook; Excel
