Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: Performs under the supervision of Dietary Director, Assistant Dietary Director, and Food Production Manager. Posses the required health, knowledge and skills to assist with quality nutritional care for patients.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree Program approved by the American Dietetic Association. Minimum 1 year experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to lift, push and/or pull weights in excess of 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds, with assistance. Visual abilities, auditory abilities, must be intact to perform duties.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
