Job Description and Job Responsibilites

Job Title: Customer Service Representative/ Administrative Assistant


Essential Job Duties:  

  • Answers telephone calls and routine inquiries; makes necessary connections to proper personnel in a timely and courteous manner. 
  • Appropriately screens all phone calls for Director
  • Assists patients and third-party payors in resolving problems on various accounts.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for opening and routing departmental correspondence.
  • Reports to patient phone calls and requests in a professional, courteous manner.
  • MPF Index Correction (daily)
  • Patient insurance updates: Government and Non-Government 
  • Responsible for telephone messages when other business office employees are unavailable.
  • Assists walk-in patients and working correspondence in accordance with departmental policies
  • Assists Financial Counselor in account follow-up
  • Assist with pulling documents for audits
  • Performs scanning of documents
  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Attendance and Punctuality (on time) a must

Job Requirements


  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Required minimum 1 year general office experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Work, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint programs preferred.
